Cameron Cuffe Joins Cast of Krypton as Lead

Krypton has found its lead actor for the Superman prequel series that will air on Syfy, according to Variety, Cameron Cuffe has been cast as Seg-El, the head of the House of El and ancestor to the future Man of Steel.

Character description:

Seg-El is the scion of the once prosperous El family and is blessed with an intuitive brilliance for all things technical. He is now living in Krypton’s lowest caste after his family was stripped of its rank.

Seg-El is the father of Jor-El, who fans will know as Superman’s birth father on Krypton. In the comics, Seg-El (Seyg-El) was the leader of Kryptonian Science Council before Krypton exploded.

David S. Goyer and Ian Goldberg wrote the pilot script, which has been confirmed as taking place years before the events of Man of Steel, making it the only series to connect to the film universe.
