Ben Affleck has made his rounds promoting his upcoming film The Accountant and during the interviews he’s spoken about his solo Batman film, which he will be directing, co-writing and starring in.
In the interview he discusses the potential title for the film being “The Batman” and his thoughts on Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Affleck also spoke with Collider on why he chose Deathstroke as the main villain for the film and which version of Deathstroke he found fascinating.
WHY HE CHOSE DEATHSTROKE AS THE MAIN VILLAIN
“He’s a great villain because—I just had an instinctive feeling that he would match up with him well. You know, I’m a big admirer of that character as well, especially in the New 52 the way that they did Deathstroke, and I thought that it could work.”
While he does says the title is now The Batman, he does point out that the title could change later on as the script evolves.
