TV Line has made the announcement that Carly Pope will be joining the cast of Arrow in the recurring role of Susan Jordan in season 5 of The CW hit television series.
The character description for Susan:
Susan — who makes her debut in Episode 3 — comes to Star City and targets the new mayor for a big story. In the DC Comics, the reporter is married to Jim Jordan, the little brother of Coast City’s resident hero Green Lantern, aka Hal Jordan.
We already have had several winks to the character of Hal Jordan existing in this world. It’s also important to note that the show runners have said that any Easter Egg put into the series are Easter eggs and nods they want to explore later on.
With Superman being bought into Supergirl and the possibility those world’s could collide with the current Berlanti-verse it looks as though Green Lantern may be coming soon.
In the comics Susan Williams-Jordan was often trying to prove Hal Jordan’s identity as Green Lantern, something I think the writers may try to do with her trying to find out Oliver’s identity as Green Arrow.
