According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris McKay who has just had major success with The Lego Batman Movie is in talks to direct a Nightwing standalone film for the DC Extended Universe.
Bill Dubuque, who wrote the Ben Affleck’s film The Accountant, is currently writing the script for the film too. There is no word on if Affleck will have a role in the film, but with Dubuque writing the script and his working relationship, it’s to be assumed he will at least have a cameo. Since the news broke, Chris McKay has confirmed that he’s in talks to direct, as he retweeted the news.
