The casting for Black Lightning has started off with a bang with Cress Williams being cast as Jefferson Pierce/Black Lightning.
The CW recently ordered a pilot for the Greg Berlanti series after FOX passed on it, keeping it close to the DC Family. Though, the series pilot will film in Atlanta, Georgia and not in Vancouver, Canada where the other shows are filmed, making it harder for any type of crossovers.
Cress Williams is huge in the TV world going back to roles in Living Single, Beverly Hills 90210, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and even ER. Williams was also in the Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman episode “Never on Sunday. ”

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten.
