DC Comics Fighting Rihanna Over “Robyn” Trademark

Shares

Recently singer Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, has begun steps to trademark her first name for an online magazine and DC Comics has stopped her from doing so, saying it sounds too similar to their character of the Boy Wonder, Robin.

DC Comics states some may get confused the two and the fact is DC already has a trademark on the name, because of that it seems like they want to prevent a possible loop hole Rihanna may have found. Personally I don’t see how it’s possible to get confused since one has the spelling with a Y and the other with an I.

According to the Pirates Thoughts if an agreement can’t be met they will have to go in front of the Trademark Office to see if Rihanna can trademark her name.
