Guillermo Del Toro Is No Longer Working on Justice League Dark?

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that while many of the Vertigo based films will be heading to New Line Cinema as reported before, Justice League Dark aka Dark Universe will remain under the Warner Bros. banner. Although Justice League Dark was created under DC Comics, it did feature a few characters originally created under Vertigo like Constantine.

It’s possible that since a few of the characters involved are much darker than what the DC Cinematic Universe will most likely be, that they may keep from referencing with the DC Cinematic Universes stories, making it feel like a separate universe, like how Supergirl could connect to the CW-Verse but it won’t reference those shows until they are ready if at all.

However, they do also state that an insider to the film is claiming that Guillermo Del Toro is no longer going to be directing the film as he’s hard at work, working on Pacific Rim 2 as well as another project called Crimson Peak. If true this is definitely disappointing as Guillermo Del Toro’s work is the best when he is involved all the way through. It’s not unusual for Guillermo Del Toro to leave one of his projects to work on other one, but he usually is able to eventually return, as he is a man who loves to work and is always piling up what he is working on.

In my opinion I hope he returns as I have no interest in a Pacific Rim 2, I still haven’t seen the other film and have no desire too, although I will say I’m sure with Del Toro behind the lens its sure to at least have some great stuff in it.

This is all rumor and not confirmed so please take it with a grain of salt.
