The British Board of Certification released some new information on the The Killing Joke animated film release, which includes some Extra Material. The extra material that caught our intention is the Sneak Peek, which is always an indicator of the next film we can expect in the DC Animated Universe.
In this case it is Justice League Dark, a team of supernatural darker heroes in the DC Universe, created by Peter Milligan and Mikel Janin. The team originally consisted of John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Madame Xanadu, Shade and The Changing Man as they faced enemy The Enchantress.
Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are not new to making animated features closely to the time they are working on a live action take of the same characters. We already know The Enchantress is featured in Suicide Squad and writer/director Guillermo Del Toro has submitted a script for a live action film.
Could this mean that film is closer to being in the works and the animated film is a way to get fans familiar with the characters? Warner Bros. has yet to confirm this news, so until than keep in mind anything can change.
