Collider sat down with James Wan, director of Furious 7, which comes out April 3rd, which also stars Shazam star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. In the interview Wan talked about his career, Furious 7 , The Conjuring 2, during the interview he does discuss his family like relationship with Warner Bros and his desire to delve into a DC film.

“Yeah it’s weird. Continuing that family tradition, [Warner Bros. is] like that and it’s almost like they’re very old school in that respect, which you don’t see much of anymore.” More directly, Steve asked Wan if there’s a specific DC property that he would be interested in adapting: “Yeah, there are some that I like… I am open to all possibilities at this point.”

Months ago it was rumored that James Wan maybe the director that takes on Shazam, in my opinion this would be great, James Wan has shown to be great at supernatural storytelling (which would world great for the magical element of the characters) and recently managed to get through his first action film, a film that had some troubles to get through. It also allows The Rock to be closer to the development as they are already shown to have a working relationship.
