Deadline released the news today that The Joker is getting his own origin film and within that story they mentioned that while Jared Leto is not involved in the origin film, he will be reprising his role in Suicide Squad 2 and Gotham City Sirens.
There is no confirmation at this time but David Ayer is writing Gotham City Sirens and with that story, The Joker’s presence helps with Harley Quinn’s evolution as a character.
Suicide Squad 2 is more suspect as there’s no word that Harley Quinn will return for that film and even if she does, the story doesn’t have to have the Joker in the film.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten.
