In a recent interview with Variety while promoting his latest movie, where he produced The Words Before Your Feet, Jesse Eisenberg was naturally questioned on his return as the character of Lex Luthor and possibly when.

I hope so. I mean, I have no idea is the truth. I love playing the character. Probably in terms of movie acting, it’s the most enjoyable character I’ve had the opportunity to play. So I would love to do it again. But I don’t know what their slate is. If you have any pull, please use it.

Eisenberg played Lex Luthor in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and in an after credit scene for Justice League that sets up a future Legion of Doom story. His performances received mixed reactions, as his version of the character is based more around his early days as a Mad Scientist and some Elseworld stories like Superman: Birthright.
