Jim Starlin Reveals He Has Received A Big Royalty Check for Batman v Superman

Jim Starlin, the creator of Anatoli Knyyazev/KG Beast went on Facebook to send a message to fans that he had received a huge royalty check from DC Entertainment after his character appeared heavily in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

He went on to point out that the check itself equaled more than he has received for all the characters that appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as Thanos, Gamora and Drax, which is a huge surprise and should be noted by those working at Marvel, whose success would not be there without the creators.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me

This says a lot. WB and DC are more respectful towards artists and properties, not like that other company. Interesting the fact that he received more money by WB, even if they had used only Anatoli / KGBeast in one film, that other company used multiple characters in multiple movies, but they gave to him less money. Meanwhile, that other company gave more than a couple million dollars to Trump during his campaign. They haven’t pay enough money to an artist, which created characters that they are using only to make profit via movies, but they gave millions to a tyrant. Something to reflect on.
