Joe Manganiello Researching for Deathstroke

Joe Manganiello who has been cast as Deathstroke in The Batman, has shared a photo on Twitter showing he is doing his homework in preparation for the role.

It’s unknown if Manganiello will appear in Justice League, although he has been in London and has filmed what could be a scene for the film or it can simply be testing for The Batman as Ben Affleck is busy filming Justice League, so it makes it easier on Affleck to get both done.

The only story we can see that he is reading is Batman: Earth One, which was written by Geoff Johns, co-writer for The Batman.

Deathstroke isn’t in that story, but it’s possible this will be the inspiration for the world that Ben Affleck’s Batman is coming from. We saw in Batman c Superman: Dawn of Justice that his relationship with Alfred is more of a partnership than butler/servant, which is something well established in the Earth One universe.

We can also see a figure from Arkham Origins, which elements from that universe has already been seen in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, so it’s not a stretch that he is also researching that version of the character.

We also got a second tweet in which we see various versions, including the New Rebirth stories, which could hint at a solo franchise is in the works, also see Teen Titans, which could mean we may get a Teen Titans or Titans film as well. Also as we previously report, Joe Manganiello shared a Teen Titans #2 on National Comic Book Day, he’s likely researching through those stories as well.
