Justice League: Part One Production Date, Plot Synopsis and Villain Revealed?

We already know that filming for Justice League: Part 1 will begin in the first quarter of 2016, now it looks like we may have gotten a production date, plot synopsis and villain.

According to My Entertainment World they have released a production start for June of 2016, to film in the United Kingdom, which was already confirmed by DC Extended Universe producer Charles Roven.

Justice League: Part 1 will be Directed by Zack Snyder and at the moment we know will star Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), Ben Affleck (Bruce Wayne/Batman), Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman), Ezra Miller (Barry Allen/The Flash) and Ray Fisher (Victor Stone/Cyborg) and I assume Amy Adams, Chris Pine and Jeremy Irons will also make appearances as Lois Lane, Steve Trevor and Alfred.

In the description it is revealed that Darkseid will be the main villain of the story, which we speculate could mean he will appear at the end of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice:

The world’s greatest heroes are assembled to form the Justice League, to combat a threat beyond each individual’s capabilities. The story involves Darkseid planning the destruction of Earth by blasting it with a ray that’ll move Apokolips into the Earth’s place.

Judging from what we’ve seen from the site previously, such as with the production start date of Wonder Woman, which they had it listed for November 23rd, which we know that wasn’t completely accurate. Other words, please take with a grain of salt.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me

  • Wonder Woman

They guessed the ww production date november 23rd and production started on november 21st.
So that makes them an accurate source.
Suicide Squad began filming a few days from the anticipated date.

I’ll take it with a grain of salt.

But I pray on everything I hold dear that the Black canary rumour is true, I’ll wait till someone like. Joblo backs it up though.

Hmm. I hope this is not true, only because we’ve now seen two Avengers movies with a big bad intent on global destruction/submission using an army of disposable minions, and we are about to see two more with a literal Darkseid knock-off. I was really hoping that they were setting up a Legion of Doom/Society of Supervillains scenario which is something we haven’t yet seen – a superhero team fighting a supervillain team. Why not try to beat Marvel to the punch on something now that they’ve already introduced their versions of Parademons, Amazo, and Darkseid.

I think you have to do Darkseid eventually..regardless what Marvel has already done. I suspect though that a large part of that conflict with take place in Apokolips and there probably won’t be a bunch of “disposable minions” like Avengers and Avengers 2.

I’m kind of hoping that Doomsday is in BvS, comes this close to be defeating, only to be escape through a Boom tube that appears. And this leads to Darkseid and Apokolips in the JL movies

  • Feel like it’s too soon for Darkseid… Also I don’t want Darkseid to be this lingering tease of a threat for the Justice League that’ll get to the point that he just stops being scary.

    • Newmantoplease

I want the first enemy they fight to be Brainiac, he’s a big enough villain and he has a direct connection to Superman who’s basically the chairman of the board. But we’ll see.
