Kevin Sorbo Joins Supergirl

Kevin Sorbo has joined the cast of Supergirl as an unknown villain in a three episode arc. Producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke on the casting.

“Since his days as Hercules, Kevin Sorbo has brought such a strong presence to the screen and we couldn’t be more excited to have him join us on Supergirl,” executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said in a statement.

Kevin Sorbo is best known for playing Hercules in the television series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and its spin-off Xena: Warrior Princess, with the news breaking Sorbo also added his excitement in getting the role:

Kevin Sorbo made a name for himself playing Hercules in the TV Series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and its spin-off Xena: Warrior Princess. Hercules connection with the DC Universe is strong as Superman was partly inspired by the tales of Hercules (or Heracles) in Greek Mythology as well as being the Son of Zeus, which in itself connects strongly with Wonder Woman.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me
