Ever since Batman: The Killing Joke was announced at San Diego Comic Con fans all over have immediately said both Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Mark Hamill (The Joker) are a must to be in these roles, some, including myself consider this to be the film that should retire them as for voicing the characters anyway.
While rumors have surfaced suggesting that not only is Mark Hamill going to play the role but he has already recorded his part for it, it seems like that may not be true, as Mark Hamill took to his Twitter replying to a fans question about the rumor and here is what he said.
My fingers are still crossed! https://t.co/3DphI8ZS06

Now it’s possible he is playing tricks on us or maybe the report that he recorded the role was for his role as The Trickster in Lego Justice League: Attack of the Legion of Doom. Either way, voice director Andrea Romano must know that fans want this to happen, same for Kevin Conroy, so while it may not be true at the moment its only a matter of time. As everyone knows, he was born to play The Joker.
