Television star Noel Neil has passed away in her Tuscon, Arizona home yesterday, according to Deadline. The 95 year old actress was most famous in her role as the first lIve action Lois Lane in the 1948 serial Superman and its follow-up Atom Man Vs Superman in 1950, both of which starred Kirk Alyn as Clark Kent/Superman.
She would later reprise her role in The Adventures of Superman (1951-1958), starring George Reeves after Phyllis Coates, who played the role in Season 1 left the series. After her role as Lois Lane ended with the tragedy of losing George Reeves, Noel Neill continued to revisit the world of Superman through various projects, starting with Superman: The Movie as Ella Lane along side Kirk Alyn as Sam Lane, showing her love for the universe.
