AMC’s Preacher, an adaptation of Vertigo title of the same name premiere last Sunday to 2.4 million viewers. While it may seem low considering The Walking Dead tends to get 10 to 12 millions on Sunday, it did follow Fear the Walking Dead and went up against NBA/NHL Playoffs, as well as Billboard Music Awards, all of which have consistent high ratings.
Despite the ratings it turned out to be the second best scripted premiere in the year 2016 so far with only FX’s The People vs O.J Simpson being the first best scripted. Preacher is adapted by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and Sam Catlin and based on the Garth Ennis & Steve Dillon Vertigo comic series.
Preacher airs on AMC Sundays at 9pm EST.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten.
