Sarah Grey has been cast as Justice Society of America member, Stargirl in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Grey is no strangers to the world of DC as she appeared on Lucifer and iZombie.
Grey is starring in the upcoming Power Rangers film and will be the second actress to be in a DC or Vertigo property that is connected to the Power Ranger franchise, as Rose McIver, who plays Liv Moore on is on iZombie, was on Power Rangers RPM.
This will be the second live action portrayal of the character Stargirl, with Britt Irvin playing the role in Smallville.
In the comics, Courtney Whitmore was known originally as the Star Spangled Kid, but would later change it to Stargirl after receiving the Cosmic Staff. She is the stepdaughter of the original Star Spangled Kid, Pat Dugan. Aside from being a member of the Justice Society of America, she has also joined up with the Justice League of America and Justice League United.
