Shazam! 2 Director David F. Sandberg Jokes On The Date Change

Shares

As reported yesterday, the second installment to David F. Sandberg’s Shazam! was pushed back from its April 1st 2022 release date to November 4th, 2022 by Warner Bros. due to the delays from the Coronavirus pandemic, as the movie was set to start principal production this upcoming Summer as confirmed by star Zachary Levi.

But Sandberg in good spirits went on to his official Instagram account to respond to the release date move, but jokily saying:

“The Shazam 2 production schedule just got 18200 years shorter. It will be tight, but we’ll just have to work faster.”

No joke Sandberg has plenty of time to work on the film, as mentioned the movie was set to start production this upcoming Summer, we can only assume the script is done or at least almost done and the majority pre-production work is in the process.
