The CW President Mark Pedowiz in the past has spoken on the regrets the network had on not taking Supergirl when the opportunity was presented for them, and now that he was able to rectify that decision he has expressed his excitement over the move of Supergirl from CBS to The CW for its second season.
WHERE THE SERIES WILL GO
“We are sitting down with Greg Berlanti and his team next week or so,” Pedowitz said. “We have a rough idea where they’re heading and, because our working relationship with Greg, we’re confident they understand what our needs are.
ON HAVING THE SERIES ON THE CW AND THE TONE THE SHOW WILL HAVE
As for the tone or tonality of the series, they did have a pretty successful series. The fact it’s now moved to The CW, where it should have been in the first place, I don’t think it will have a big impact on the tone.”
It certainly seems like both CBS and The CW have overwhelming love for this series and it is great to see a network so invested in a series.
“This is a good thing for The CW, our parent companies [Warner Bros. and CBS Corp.] recognized this was the right place for it, and were deeply supportive across the board.”
