Titans Still in Development According to Geoff Johns

Titans may not be dead, as DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns has spoken out that we are still getting the Teen Titans in some live action form, when speaking with TVLine, made a few facts known.

When discussing TNT’s decision to skip on Titans:

“We [at DC] have known about [Turner nixing Titans] for months and months and months. That’s not new news to us.”

This is interesting and makes sense as to why we have heard no news really within the time period after the show was being discussed, however, it does seem weird as a Titans Writer’s page, which seemed to be legit was created and everything. This could mean that they have kept the series in a sort of development hell situation.

When discussing what the future holds for Teen Titans or Titans:

The silver lining: Regardless of the basic cabler’s decision, “We have plans for Titans,” Johns asserted. “It’s a huge piece of DC and we have plans.”

He mentions “basic cable” could this mean Titans could show up elsewhere, maybe HBO or The CW’s streaming services? It could also mean that the rumored Teen Titans film could become a fact. Justice League vs Teen Titans was a surprise announcement and if any fan has been paying attention Warner Bro. Animation has been the testing ground for some of the shows and films we will be seeing, so this new film could be as well.
