TVLine has made their rounds and interviewed quite a few individuals connected to the DC Multiverse. This includes Arrow Executive Producer Wendy Mericle.
As we have seen in recent episodes of Arrow, characters that will also appear in David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, have been written off in some form, such as Amanda Waller and Deadshot, so it was no surprise to think others may also find themselves written off, namely Katana, whose last appearance evolved her into the comic book character full on.
ON WHETHER KATANA WILL BE WRITTEN OFF SIMILAR TO OTHER CHARACTERS IN SUICIDE SQUAD
That I do not know, though Katana’s next appearance promises to be “surprising.”
ON RILA FUKUSHIMA’S PERFORMANCE IN THE ROLE AND HER RETURN
“We loved that Tatsu last season kind of evolved into [Katana], so we’re really excited about her return. It was great to have Rila [Fukushima] back and to see that character again, but it’ll be kind of a new, surprising way that we do it.”
