Tom Cavanagh Officially Returning as Regular on The Flash

Today’s article for “The Spoiler Room” by Entertainment Weekly, it revealed that Tom Cavanagh will in fact return as Harrison Wells in season 3 of The Flash. However, it was not revealed which of the 3 versions we will be seeing. Especially now with The Flashpoint story coming to us, it’s possible we will be seeing a completely new version of the original Harrison Wells.

I’m wondering if this means that we’ll still have a Harrison Wells of some kind, since it would be the pits if Tom Cavanagh isn’t on The Flash anymore. — Green Flower
Details on next season are being kept tightly under wraps, but I can tell you that Tom Cavanagh will be back as a series regular for season 3. Consider this: If the show does indeed move forward with Flashpoint, then the Reverse-Flash never killed Earth-1 Harrison Wells and his wife, meaning we could see the original Wells next season. Maybe. Hopefully.
