Wonder Woman Director Praises Suicide Squad

Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman gives her thoughts on Suicide Squad, she make sure to point out that her opinion on the film is her own and is not due to her working within the world of the DC Extended Universe.

Suicide Squad has been getting some harsh criticisms from film critics and has even caused some fans to overreact and create a petition to have Rotten Tomatoes shut down, a move we are not in support of at all.

Patty Jenkins’s film Wonder Woman will be the next in line to face the critics in 2017, hopefully it fares better. But at the end of the day it is only opinions and no ones opinion is right or wrong, as films will always be subjective.

My name is Eric and I am loving this current comic book boom, I was around for the first one with Superman: The Movie, Supergirl(being the first female and crossover film) and Batman and have been enjoying the resurgence since Blade. Can't express how much I cannot wait for WB & DC to take back the film universe but until than I love the TV shows we have gotten. I only started reading comics about 10 years ago but am connected more to DC over Marvel or any other major company. If you wanna chat feel free to contact me

I have watched the movie and it’s great indeed. Not perfect but it’s still great. I give 8.8/10. Actually, a film quality is very objective. But film is a complex form of art because it contains a several artistic elements all in one. Which is why it takes someone with educational background in film & art to make any credible assessment. But the point is ‘good’ and ‘bad’ of a film’s quality can be measured and assessed objectively. What’s subjective is whether you like or dislike a movie. Even if a film is good in quality, people may dislike it. But here is the actual problem, we have plenty of people, in the internet, without credentials or knowledge about art or film to be specific, judge movies’ quality like they are qualified to do so. If they dislike a movie, they’d go to all length to justified their irrational hatred even when it means using all the jargon they can find in the book to do that. If they like a movie, get entertained and get instant gratifications as they’ve always been craving for, they would overlook all the obvious flaws that movie have and be lenient in their judgement. I can understand the outrage of DC fans as i have been witnessing unfair treatments towards your movies by the haters.

Here’s all i can say, if you want to watch a movie, just read the synopsis and watch the interviews with cast and crews involved in the project. If it fits your taste or tickles your curiosity, go watch the movie. Don’t trust the so called “critics” because they are just commoners with access to speak up their mind in the media. Not to mention all the bias they have behind their “reviews”. Just enjoy films as a form of art. Enjoy it. I was never really into superhero genre but i always have special place in my heart for DC movies. So cheer up guys!
