According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Wonder Woman sequel is no longer on the schedule to get released on December 13, 2019, is now being released on November 1st, 2019. This move comes after Star Wars Episode IX was moved to December 20, 2019.
This move will allow both franchises, which share the same fan base, to bring in the most from their respective box offices as Wonder Woman 2 now has over a month to bring in as many fans as possible to the theaters.
Gal Gadot signed on for three films, which included Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Wonder Woman and Justice League, so Wonder Woman 2 is part of a new contract she’s signed on too. Patty Jenkins is still returning as director and is now writing the feature with Geoff Johns and Dave Callaham.
