When it was first announced that Yahya Abdul-Mateen was in talks to play Black Manta in Aquaman, back in February, Dwayne Johnson who’s playing Black Adam in the DC Extended Universe, tweeted out a welcome message.
Since then it’s now been made clear by Abdul-Mateen that he wasn’t able to respond to the message until now, as his tweet from today officially confirms he’s onboard to play Black Manta and wasn’t able to respond to Johnson until now.
Can finally say THANK YOU! The club just got a little more "tan 😉" and a lot more Badass!! @TheRock #BLACKMANTA 💪🏾🌊 https://t.co/JBmC8DcMGF
