Ever since it was announced that Young Justice was given a long-awaited renewal for a third season not much else was announced afterwards, now Deadline is reporting that the third season would be subtitled Young Justice: Outsiders. This goes along with the idea that each season would be given its own subtitle with season two titled Young Justice: Invasion.
Just like the second season, the subtitle is a good indicator on what we can expect from the story arc for the season and with it titled “Outsiders” it could show that we may be seeing The Outsiders join the team or even be the antagonists for the season.
The Outsiders was a team formed by Batman in the Brave and the Bold #20 by Mike W Barrand and Jim Aparo, originally consisted of the characters Katana, Black Lightning, Geo-Force, Halo and Looker.
Not only that but Young Justice: Outsiders will premiere in 2018 as part of a new Digital Service Warner Bros. will be releasing for their DC Brand.
Here is the synopsis for the season:
In Young Justice: Outsiders, the teenage superheroes of the DC Universe come of age in an animated world of superpowers, super villains and super secrets. In the new season, the team faces its greatest challenge as it takes on meta-human trafficking and the terrifying threat it creates for a society caught in the crossfire of a genetic arms race spanning the globe and the galaxy.
