The news that A Wrinkle in Time and Selma director Ava DuVernay is helming the latest of the DC movie The New Gods spread like wildfire online, with some excited and other skeptical the movie will never actually happen.
Since the news was made public, DuVernay went on to then thank The New Gods creator Jack Kirby, while also sharing one of his quotes through her social media account.
“Our dreams make us large.”

Meanwhile earlier Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins went to Twitter to congratulate Ava on her latest movie A Wrinkle of Time and say her son loved it, DuVernay responded back with a hint that they may see each other soon.
Designed #WRINKLEINTIME especially for our young ones, Patty. So his response thrills me. Thanks for taking your sweet boy. Look forward to seeing you around the block soon, lady. xo https://t.co/3MUGPV8fHH

Variety confirmed shortly after the news broke that The New Gods is part of the DC Films Universe, so it would make sense to collaborate in some way with Jenkins, since Wonder Woman is heavily tied to The New Gods, running into them quite a bit as well as the history of Amazons.
This is speculation of course, this exchange could just be about Ava joining her as a female director in the DC Films Universe.
