Constantine: City of Demons first five episodes arrived on CW Seed this week and many fans wondered if there’s more episodes coming, since the 5th episode didn’t feel like a finale.
The series writer J.M. DeMatteis revealed to fans that there’s still 7 episodes that’s going to drop, but if fans want to see them early and get more than 20 minutes of story, that there’s a DVD that’s going to be released before the final 7 episodes.
For all the folks who have been asking: Between the first 5 and the final 7 episodes of CONSTANTINE: CITY OF DEMONS there'll be a full-length DVD release (with 20 or so extra minutes of story). So you can see the whole thing (and more) before the final episodes arrive on CW Seed.

There’s no release date mentioned but he did respond to me about when the DVD release might arrive.
I believe the DVD will be out later in the spring, followed by the final seven episodes on CW Seed.

He does state the final 7 episodes would get released after the DVD’s release but doesn’t mention if that means no Season 2. With Matt Ryan heading to DC’s Legends of Tomorrow his story arcs would work great in live action, so the could hold off on releasing anything else.
