Laura Vandervoort is Coming to Supergirl as Indigo

It’s official Laura Vandervoort, who played Kara Zo-El/Supergirl on Smallville, is officially coming to Supergirl, as a villain called Indigo, who is set to appear in the 15th episode of the CBS television series.

According to the shows producers at the Television Critics Association, Indigo is described as:

“A living, strong-willed supercomputer that was sentenced to Fort Rozz after turning against the people of Krypton. Now on Earth, Indigo will let nothing stand in her way.”

This would not be the first time we had a past hero play a villain against the current hero. Dean Cain, played a version of Vandal Savage named Dr. Curtis Knox on Smallville where he had a one on fight with Tom Welling’s Clark Kent. Now it appears the tradition will continue. Let’s hope Helen Slater makes an appearance in the episode.

Indigo is known as first appearing as Superheroine and later being revealed as a Supervillain, her alter ego being Brainiac 8 and has gone up against the likes of both Teen Titans and Young Justice at the same time in which she first appeared. She actually arrives in the 21 Century from the future where she comes from, an element I do wonder if the possible Crossover with the CW-Verse could occur.
