Rumor: Justice League Dark To Shoot in 2016

We may have gotten some news regarding the long-awaited Justice League Dark film, according to Tracking Board, a source told them that Oscar Winning Producer Scott Rudin is now co-producing the film, tentatively titled Dark Universe with Writer/Producer Guillermo Del Toro.

Guillermo Del Toro was set to direct the film when he had to leave to pursue Pacific Rim 2, the news that Pacific Rim 2 maybe on hold got many fans excited to think he may return, but it appears he is not.

Also in the report John Constantine, who was recently portrayed by Matt Ryan in the NBC series Constantine and will be returning on Arrow, will be the one who unites the team, it was also said that Matt Ryan will not reprise his role, which was a possibility before he was included into the Arrow/The Flash universe.  The film will take place within the same universe as the DC Extended Universe.

Apparently Dark Universe is a high priority at Warner Bros. with Niija Kuykendall, Nik Mavinkurve and Jon Berg overseeing the project. The film will also be shooting in 2016, which will mean we have at least 3 DC films shooting at the same time, with Justice League and Wonder Woman also shooting.

The one thing that I will say has me a bit concerned on this news being false is that Zack Snyder, who is overseeing the DC Extended Universe is not listed as being a Producer or Executive Producer. Keep in mind none of this has been confirmed, Warner Bros., Scott Rudin or Guillermo Del Toro have not commented or confirmed, so take with a grain of salt.
