The Flash to Feature A New Hero

TVLine who we reported broke the news that the showrunners of The Flash were casting a “Felicity Like Love Interest” is now reporting another casting call has been revealed.

I’m dying for some Arrow or Flash scoop! –Matthew
Arrow is seeking an Iris West type… No, just kidding. (Too soon?) The Flash, however – in addition to Wendy – is casting the season-long role of a classically handsome, square-jawed hero in his 30s to early 40s, a slightly cynical man “with an edge.” The casting call lists the character as “John Clark,” which is obviously fake/a nod to the DC Comics letterer. Though I must wonder if one of Clark’s works hints at the character being introduced….

Now judging from the description we could be talking about some Justice Society Members, John Clark is an obvious alias for the real character, plus we did get a Jay Gerrick easter egg last season. We also know from Arrow that Wildcat wasn’t the only vigilante before Oliver Queen first appeared. Maybe it’ll be Constantine, I doubt it as recasting that role at the moment would not go over well with a lot of fans, considering the fact The CW could have just renewed the other series.

This role is obviously separate from the new heroes we will be getting in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, so that is exciting, so who do you want to see help save Central City with The Flash?
