Its been a while since we last reported that HBO was considering adapting Watchmen on the small screen. Now its been announced that HBO is now finally working on the adaptation.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Damon Lindelof is in talks to help bring the Alan Moore story to life on the small screen. Zack Snyder is no longer attached, though with his family tragedy it’s not surprising.
The series is in early development, but no deal is officially in place, but Lindelof had much praise for the story and director Zack Snyder when the film was being made and released in 2009.
“From the flashbacks to the nonlinear storytelling to the deeply flawed heroes, these are all elements that I try to put into everything I write”
With the project in early development it’s not known if the series will be a new adaptation of the films events or if it will include the events in the film as part of its history.
